History of Le Mans Circuit: Spaniard Dominates

LE MANS - MotoGP races continue to France. Located at the Bugatti Circuit, Le Mans, the race became the fifth series this season will be held on Sunday (21/05/2017).

In the last 17 years, Jorge Lorenzo became the rider who most often seize the highest podium in this 4.2 km trajectory. Lorenzo did so in the 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Lorenzo reinforced the dominance of the Spaniard at the Le Mans circuit. Besides himself, the Spaniard who had the power in this circuit is Alex Criville, Sete Gibernau, Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez.

If totaled, have won 10 Spanish riders in 17 years. This record would be a threat to Valentino Rossi who was topping the MotoGP racer.

Rossi himself only recorded three victories at the Le Mans circuit. It was done in 2002, 2005 and 2008. But record time record Rossi can not be defeated until now. The Doctor carved the fastest lap time of 1 minute 32,879 seconds.
